Financial Assistance & Sponsorships Program

Every child deserves the opportunity to participate. Learn about our income-based sponsorship program and how to apply.

At The Science Academy, we believe financial constraints should never stand in the way of a child’s development, health, and happiness. Thanks to our corporate partners, community donations, and grant funding, we offer partial and full sponsorships when available, for qualified families to ensure our programs remain accessible to everyone.

Section 2: How It Works & Eligibility

Who Qualifies?

Sponsorships are awarded based on household size and annual gross income. To qualify, your total household income must be at or below 120% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (or if you currently participate in public assistance programs like SNAP, Medicaid, or Free/Reduced Lunch). Students must have good grades and behavior.

What You Will Need to Apply

To help us process your application quickly, please have the following ready before starting:

1. Contact & Household Info: Names, dates of birth, and household size.

2. Proof of Income: A copy of your most recent 1040 tax form, 2 recent pay stubs, or proof of enrollment in SNAP/Medicaid.

3. Proof of good grades and behavior (Report Cards)

How long does approval take? Applications are typically reviewed within 5–7 business days, depending on when it was received and opened. You will receive an email notification regarding your award status.

Is my information kept confidential? Yes. All financial documents and personal details are strictly confidential and used solely to evaluate sponsorship eligibility.

What if I don't meet the income limits but have temporary hardships?

We encourage you to fill out the "Statement of Need" section on the application. We evaluate extenuating circumstances (medical bills, recent job loss) on a case-by-case basis.
